The association was founded in 2004 with the primary purpose of supporting the Artetherapy Training Authority at anthroposophical address Stella Maris.
Stella Maris, based in Bologna, is a member of the European Academy for Anthroposophical Art Therapies (EA) and, nationally, is recognized by the S.I.M.A. (Italian Society of Anthroposophical Medicine) and cod., SC101/11 in the SiaF Italy National List of Educational Institutions for the quality of training provided valid for the inclusion of their students in the register of arttherapists.
Over the years the activities organized by the association have expanded, with the main purpose of raising awareness of art therapy and its beneficial effects; Humanitarian and culturalinitiatives have also been given space.
